Christmas presents

I hope everyone has had a good holiday season! I know I have! I wanted to look my very best for christmas, so I got a haircut before christmas and they even put on a christmas tree bandana on me! These bandanas usually never last very long because I usually notice that there is this big monster around my neck pretty quick after it gets put on me. And once I know it's there, I won't leave it alone untill I get it off and chew it up! But this time I tried to be a good boy (I didn't want to be naughty so close to christmas!) and I left it alone until the day after christmas, but then I had had enough, and saw to it that it came off!
Tonya says I must have been an extra good boy this year because I got a lot of presents in my stocking this year! I was so excited when it was my turn to see my presents! Tonya doesn't wrap them though, because I have just never gotten the hang of unwrapping presents, I just get really frustrated that there is wrapping paper in the way of my gift that people expect me to get off. I mean how am I supposed to do that? So I just pick my presents out of my stocking one by one, and play with all of them!

This year I got a new dinosaur chew toy that I named Rex, a very colorful blanket that I can carry with me around the house (so I no longer feel the need to steal towels from around the house to carry with me), I also got a big packet of hard treats that Tonya says will clean my teeth for me when I chew on them. So I think I got some pretty good presents this year!

In Memory of Wendy

Note from Tonya:

In an very sad turn of events, Sammy's friend Wendy, who I posted a picture of in my last post for wordless wesneday, has passed away. She was about 8 years old, so she lived a very full, and happy life. There was nothing she liked more than to run around with her owner, ( who has been a friend of mine for a long time) playing and having fun with us kids. Wendy was the first dog Sammy ever met beside his mom and dad (he was the only pup in the litter), and they had been great friends ever since. I hope everyone will keep Wendy and her owner in their thoughts, as he and his family will be taking this very hard, as Wendy was truly apart of the family.

Unforunatley, this is the only picture I have of Wendy, and even though I posted it last week, (although when I did last week's post I had no idea I would soon be writing this post) I would like to post it again, so everyone can see how beautiful of a dog she was:

I just wanted to say that I have not commented on your blogs lately because the stupid computer keeps saying that my account does allow me to comment on any of your blogs. I have been visting them weekly, and trying to comment, but Tonya just can't seem to get it to work! It is very frustrating, but Tonya will keep trying untill she gets it fixed. In the mean time I am still checking each your of blogs, and enjoying every post, I just can't comment on them!

Standing Guard

First of all, I want to say I am sorry that I have not really posted in a while, or visited your blogs; school just started up again, so Tonya has been focuse on kind of getting back into the swing of things, and hasn't really had time to help me with my blog. But I will try to visit all of your blogs as soon as possible.

Anyway, I haven't really been up to much, I did go to the dog park, but it was too dark to take pictures, so Tonya, said she will try and get some next time we go. Other than that, I have just been doing what cavaliers do best, sleeping! I always like to either sleep on the couch in the living room, so I can kind of see everything that is going on, or I like to set up camp at the front door. That way I can sleep in the sun, and watch for any intruders that might come my way! Tonya got some pictures of me sleeping in the doorway, (I say I wasn't really sleeping, I was just resting my eyes, I was still ready to pounce on any strangers!):

Dog park

I went to the dog park this weekend, but Tonya forgot her camera! I did have a lot of fun though, I met lots of new doggies. There was a nice dalmation that followed me around the park almost the whole time I was there! And there was a boxer puppy that was really nice too. I always like going to the dog park, but I havent been able to go in a while because it has been really hot lately. (It has been at least 100 degress (F) every day for the past 2 or 3 weeks!) And even when I went this weekend we had to wait till about 8 pm, when it had cooled down to about 70 or 80 degrees. It was still fun though, and I can't wait untill I go again!

My Hair is Back!

My hair finally grew back from my summer haircut! (Although it does look like I need a good brushing, now)

I'm Back!

My family is back from Colorado! And I'm back from doggy daycare. I had a lot of fun, and I even got my own report card, which said during group play I mostly observed the other dogs playing, and was more interested in being petted by the workers. It even said I would start howling a lot, and then all of the other dogs would start howling! Hee hee! I was kind of a trouble make I guess! My family had a lot of fun too, here some of the mountains they saw:

Oh, and while they were in a town that was on the way up to the mountains, my family saw a cavalier and had to take a picture of it!

Vacation

My humans are going on vacation the week! They are going to go to Colorado, and have lots of fun. But guess what? I don't get to go with them! They are just going to go visit all of these cool places without me, for a whole week! But it does mean that I get to spend the week at my doggy daycare place, which I always have loads of fun at! (Although I would much rather be with my humans) I get to meet new doggies and play almost all day, plus I gets lots of cuddles and attention because all of the people there think I am so cute! So, anyway, since I will be gone this week I won't be able to visit your blogs, but don't worry, I will check them when I get back.

My New Summer Haircut!

I got a new summer haircut last weekend! Tonya likes it, although at first it seemed way to short. See, the groomer I usually go to retired, so I went to a new one this time, and she went a little too crazy with the cutters! She didn't even leave an inch of hair on my back, it's as short as a Beagle's! (The only thing she didn't cut was my ears and my tail) But Tonya said she will just have to get used to it. Here are some pictures of it, although it's kinda hard to see how really short it is, cause I wouldn't stand still for a proper pictures.

This is all I have been doing this week, because Tonya is spending all her time studying for her finals, and not playing with me! (By the way, her last day of school is tomorrow, so this weekend, she will be able to visit everyone's blogs!)

Ok, so I feel bad. A few weeks ago, maybe even up to a month ago, I remember visiting everyone's blogs and coming across an award that was awarded to me. I was in kind of a hurry, so I figured I would come back and put the award on my blog within the next few days, but the problem is, I never got around to it.
